Managing a small project team that is growing to deliver technical product development to customer specifications. The successful candidate will demonstrate industry best practices and effective use of project management tools when delivering technical projects.
Role Profile
You will be the relationship manager between various internal departments and the customer, delivering strong leadership to bring together multiple technical projects while overcoming technical and resource conflicts on time and on budget.
Work directly with:
- Customers
- Key Account Managers
- Engineering department
- Procurement/supply chain teams
Duties:
- Using PM best practice, deploy highly effective project plans and challenge roadblocks to ensure success. Lateral thinking is a must!
- Oversee the effective transfer of new products into steady state manufacturing without issue.
- Bid proposal support for onboarding new programmes/projects.
- Produce accurate reporting and budget forecasting, and detailed revenue projections.
- Resolve project uncertainty through risk planning by managing risk mitigation plans and effective escalations within the business.
- Champion sitewide improvements for project management and help mentor junior members within the team.
Required Expertise:
- 5 years of experience as a professional Project Manager
- People management (motivational leadership)
- Research, Design, Development and Manufacturing industry experience
- Highly technical, critically dependent projects
- Resolving ambiguous situations
- Experienced with high-profile customers (OEMs)
- Technical proposal delivery
- Familiarity with electronics is advantageous
- EPM tools and ASC606 accounting methodology, preferably with SAP S4
