HPC Compressed Air Systems field service engineers are responsible for accomplishing installation, maintenance and repair tasks on HPC or customers compressed air equipment.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out hands-on preventative and reactive maintenance of compressors and related systems and components.
- Plan and complete maintenance tasks in a cost effective, timely manner ensuring compliance with procedural and documentary requirements.
- Complete accurately and submit all Service Reports, Time Sheets and other documents needed for the smooth operation of the Service Department.
- Flexibility in undertaking various tasks to optimise available labour in the Service Department.
- Maintain full and responsible communications with the customer and HPC concerning their allocated jobs and movements.
- Problem solving on technical and safety issues fostering an atmosphere of “Safe Working”, ensuring colleagues understand their responsibilities and obligations in contributing to a safe working environment.
- Undertake training on products when required, both in the UK and Germany.
- Be available for emergency out of hours duty as per the emergency call-out rota.
- Maintenance tasks carried out in time.
- Successful/accurate completion of checklist/POWRA.
- Correct service report handling and sign off.
- Keep accurate record of work completed via timesheet.
Skills:
- Field service engineer and industrial engineering experience.
- Working background in servicing rotating machinery.
- Mechanical / electrical experience.
- IT literate.
Qualifications & Experience (min level of requirement):
- A formal technical training by means of an HND or HNC, or equivalent is required together with a minimum of two years practical experience working with industrial rotating equipment.
- Possess a sound background of working with industrial rotating machines in a service industry, with relevant experience, demonstrating clear and effective hand skills and thinking.
- A current driving licence is essential.
- Direct experience and a working history of the Compressed Air Industry would be ideal.
