Join Us as a Document Controller – Supporting Sizewell C\'s Future
The Civil Works Alliance (CWA) are recruiting to play a vital role in building Sizewell C – a landmark 3.2‑gigawatt power station set to deliver low‑carbon electricity to around 6 million homes. This project is more than just construction; it is about powering the UK\'s clean energy future for at least the next 60 years.
We are looking for a dedicated Document Controller to join our Marine and Tunnelling section, based between London and Suffolk. In this role you will be instrumental in managing the critical documents that underpin the successful delivery of this transformative project. Your attention to detail and passion for quality will help ensure that all project documentation complies with stringent standards and flows smoothly between teams, suppliers and clients.
What you\'ll be doing:
Managing document registration, dispatch, filing and archiving within CWA and client EDMS systems.
Tracking and expediting construction documents and quality records, ensuring completeness and compliance.
Supporting the Quality Manager with compiling quality records and monitoring project deviations from initiation to resolution.
Coordinating with internal teams, suppliers and clients to ensure document accuracy and timely acceptance.
Training colleagues and suppliers on document control processes and digital tools.
Generating progress and compliance reports to keep the project on track.
What we need from you:
A self‑starter with a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Confidence in working independently while thriving in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
Strong communication skills to support and train colleagues at all levels, from site teams to senior managers.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to quickly learn and teach new software tools.
Experience or interest in digital records management is highly advantageous.
If you\'re passionate about quality, organised by nature, and eager to contribute to one of the UK\'s most significant energy infrastructure projects, I want to hear from you.
Ready to play your part in powering a sustainable future with the CWA? Apply now.
For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK. As a project, we do not discriminate on the grounds of age, gender, race, colour, religion, disability or sexual orientation, and we welcome applications from all sections of the community.
Why Join Us?
EDF is leading the UK\'s nuclear renaissance with the construction of new nuclear power stations such as Hinkley Point C and the planned Sizewell C in Suffolk. Nuclear power is the most reliable, low‑carbon energy source currently available to the UK, and the Sizewell C project will supply low‑carbon electricity to meet 7% of UK demand. The project positively impacts the local and national economy by creating thousands of employment and apprenticeship opportunities across a range of skills.
We are not just building new nuclear power stations – we are developing careers, upskilling generations and creating lasting jobs in an industry that is evolving rapidly. Our goal is to foster responsibly – as Britain’s biggest generator of zero‑carbon electricity – and to do even more with our experience and scale.
