The Civil Works Alliance (CWA) is seeking a talented Commercial Manager to join us in the groundbreaking Sizewell C project. This new nuclear power station will generate 3.2-gigawatts of low-carbon electricity, powering around 6 million homes and contributing to a cleaner, sustainable future for at least 60 years.

Role Overview:
- As a Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in implementing the civils alliance delivery strategy, ensuring cost-effective and efficient project execution, and maintaining the highest professional standards. Your responsibilities will include challenging our cost base, driving customer satisfaction, and developing a skilled commercial team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Health, Safety, and Environmental: Champion Zero Harm initiatives and provide commercial insights on health, safety, and environmental issues.
- Resource Control: Allocate resources efficiently, mentor team members, and support their long-term development.
- Quality of Service Provision: Offer commercial input for Value Engineering reviews and ensure the feedback loop of commercial data.
- Estimating & Planning: Review tenders, manage Target Cost preparations, and coordinate the commercial team to tackle programme issues.
- Project Management: Prepare monthly commercial reports and explain progress to senior teams.
- Procurement & Commercial Management: Formulate procurement plans, resolve disputes, manage estimates, and control commercial risks and opportunities.
Qualifications
- A degree in Construction Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying.
Experience
- Experience in commercial management, negotiation, and project procurement strategy.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach to innovation and continuous improvement.
- Experience of large / complex infrastructure projects.
