The Opportunity
As an Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineering Graduate at Hinkley Point C, you'll earn a salary of £37,500 per annum. The programme is expected to begin in early September 2027, when you'll join our graduate community and start building your career at EDF.

- No two days are the same. You could be supporting commissioning and configuration teams, maintaining design documentation, participating in validation testing or collaborating with system designers to help deliver one of the UK's most significant engineering projects.
Location
You’ll be based full-time at Hinkley Point C for the duration of the programme. Working alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists, you’ll gain first-hand experience in a unique operational environment and build strong professional networks across the site. Due to operational activities, you’ll be expected to work on-site five days per week. You’ll therefore need to live, or be willing to relocate, within a reasonable commuting distance of Hinkley Point C.
Who You Are
To be eligible for this EDF graduate programme, you need to have achieved, or be expecting to achieve, a bachelor's or postgraduate degree in a STEM subject. This includes generic STEM degrees that demonstrate strong scientific, analytical and numerical capability, such as psychology, biology, medicine, environmental and natural sciences, economics and geography. You’ll have an interest in nuclear energy and technical problem-solving.
It is a requirement that those who join us have the right to work in the UK. Whilst sponsorship may be a possibility, we reserve the right in our decisions to give priority to those who already have the right to work in the UK. To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.
Please note that an Assessment Centre stage of the hiring process will take place online on 25 November 2026. Applicants must be able to attend on this date to be considered for the programme.
