Our client is a well-established automotive business with a busy workshop in Benfleet, and they are currently looking for an experienced MET Technician to join their growing team. This role will focus on the mechanical, electrical and trim aspects of vehicle repair, working alongside a wider bodyshop team to ensure vehicles are repaired safely and efficiently to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs on a range of vehicles
- Remove and refit mechanical and electrical components as required
- Diagnose faults and identify any additional repair requirements
- Complete strip and refit work to manufacturer and industry standards
- Work closely with body repair technicians and other workshop staff
- Ensure all repairs are completed safely and to a high standard
- Accurately complete job cards and repair documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Work efficiently to meet workshop productivity and quality targets
Requirements
- Proven experience as a MET Technician / MET Fitter / Vehicle Technician
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Experience within a bodyshop or accident repair environment is highly desirable
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Relevant automotive qualifications are preferred
