We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Prepper to join a busy and well-established automotive body shop in Coalville. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in vehicle preparation and paint support, looking for a stable, long-term role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicles for paint including masking, sanding, filling, and priming
- Carry out vehicle prep, paint preparation, and surface correction
- Remove scratches, dents, and minor imperfections prior to painting
- Work closely with Paint Sprayers to ensure a high-quality finish
- Use body shop tools such as sanders, polishers, and prep equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Prepper / Prep Technician / Bodyshop Prepper
- Strong knowledge of sanding, masking, priming, and prep techniques
- Experience within a body shop, accident repair centre, or automotive workshop
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- High attention to detail and quality
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in polishing, buffing, and finishing
- Previous support to Paint Sprayers
