Our client is a global engineering and design consultancy delivering infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally.
They are looking to appoint a Principal Highways Engineer to join their established highways team, supporting the design and delivery of major transport and infrastructure schemes.
This is a role where the selected canddiate will be working at a technical director level.
This position would suit an experienced engineer who enjoys the technical side of highway design and wants to play a leading role in solving complex engineering challenges, without moving into a predominantly management-focused position.

You will act as a technical lead on schemes, reviewing designs, providing engineering guidance and ensuring work is delivered in line with industry standards.
Responsibilities * Producing and reviewing complex highway designs. * Reviewing drawings, calculations and technical reports prepared by other engineers. * Providing technical guidance and support to engineering teams. * Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards and client requirements. * Working closely with project managers, clients and multidisciplinary teams throughout project delivery * Attending technical meetings with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders where required. * Mentoring and supporting junior engineers within the team.
