An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estimator to join the Pre-Construction team based in London. This role is ideal for someone who is commercially minded, detail-oriented, and confident taking ownership of estimating across a range of fire protection systems. This is more than a pricing role — it requires energy, accountability, and resilience, supporting the delivery of projects that protect lives through fire and height safety solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimate a variety of fire protection systems from supplied CAD drawings, specifications, and related documentation.
- Assist in preparing and compiling tender submissions to a high standard and within deadlines.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
- Coordinate workload effectively and manage individual deadlines in line with agreed programmes.
- Support the sales team to maximise efficiency and project success.
- Carry out site surveys when required.
- Contribute to improving internal processes and customer experience.
- Communicate professionally with staff, clients, suppliers, and members of the public via phone and email.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Strong work ethic with high standards and a proactive attitude.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication, numerical, and literacy skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Team player with integrity and willingness to learn.
- Confident communicating with suppliers and clients.
- Located within commutable distance of the Enfield office and willing to travel when required.
- Full UK driving licence.
