Our client is currently looking to recruit a Trainee Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join their busy and growing automotive repair operation based in Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody looking to progress their career within the accident repair industry and develop into a fully qualified VDA. The successful candidate will ideally come from a vehicle inspection background or have previous experience assessing vehicle condition, identifying damage, or carrying out quality checks within the automotive sector. Initially, the role will focus heavily on vehicle inspections, learning repair processes, and supporting the estimating team before progressing into a full VDA position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out initial vehicle inspections and condition reports
- Identifying vehicle damage and documenting findings accurately
- Supporting the VDA team with repair assessments and estimate preparation
- Liaising with workshop staff regarding vehicle progress
- Ensuring all paperwork and system updates are completed correctly
- Learning manufacturer methods and accident repair procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Inspector, QC Inspector, Rental Return Inspector, or similar automotive inspection role preferred
- Strong attention to detail

- Full UK driving licence required
