Stock / Inventory Controller

Rate: Β£18.00 per hour

Our client is a busy prestige automotive bodyshop based in Coventry and is looking for an experienced Stock Controller / Inventory Manager to manage the day-to-day stock and supplies required to keep the bodyshop operating efficiently.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, placing and managing orders, receiving deliveries and ensuring the bodyshop has the materials it needs. This will include products such as automotive paint, filler, primers, consumables, tools and other bodyshop materials.
You will maintain accurate stock records, monitor usage and identify when supplies need to be replenished, helping to prevent shortages and unnecessary downtime within the workshop.
The role would suit someone with previous experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Controller, Inventory Manager, Stores Manager, Warehouse Coordinator, Parts Coordinator or Materials Controller, ideally within an automotive, bodyshop, engineering or manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing stock levels and inventory records
- Ordering paint, filler and other bodyshop consumables
- Monitoring stock usage and reordering supplies
- Receiving and checking deliveries
- Liaising with suppliers and internal workshop teams
- Ensuring essential materials are available when required
- Keeping the stores and stock areas organised
This is an ongoing contract with the project expected to run for several years, offering excellent stability for the right contractor.
