Security Systems Design Engineer – High Security Sector

South West or Home-Based | Full-Time, Permanent | SC Clearance Required

Are you an experienced Security Systems Designer looking to work on high-profile, secure infrastructure projects?

The Role:

As a Security Systems Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for producing detailed designs, quotations, and technical documentation for the installation and maintenance of complex, high-security systems. You will support the full project lifecycle, from initial survey through to design delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create technical designs, drawings, and quotes for security systems at CPNI-regulated sites
  • Conduct site surveys to gather design requirements
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and confidentiality protocols
  • Support project teams with design input throughout delivery
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely responses to design requests

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of IP CCTV, Access control, Fire and Intruder alarm systems
  • Strong AutoCAD and MS Project skills
  • Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail
  • UK driving license and right to work in the UK
  • Eligible for SC-level government security clearance

Desirable (Bonus Points):

  • Experience in CPNI or regulated design environments
  • Knowledge of PIDS, HVM, or site electrical/civils infrastructure
  • Familiarity with systems such as Avigilon, Samsung CCTV, Symmetry, Galaxy, or Allied Telesis
