Fire & Security Service Engineer (CCTV, Access Control, Fire & Intruder Alarms) – Peterborough – £40,000–£42,000 + Overtime

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to join a well-established and growing fire and security systems company covering Peterborough and surrounding areas.

Due to continued expansion and increasing customer demand, our client is looking to strengthen their engineering team with a skilled, multi-disciplined service engineer.

This is a full-time, permanent, field-based role offering a competitive basic salary, overtime, on-call earnings, a company vehicle, and ongoing training across fire and security systems.

  • Role & Responsibilities
  • Servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of IP CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, and Intruder Alarm systems
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across commercial sites
  • Working with a wide range of manufacturers’ systems
  • Diagnosing faults and completing effective remedial works
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with industry regulations
  • Maintaining clear and professional communication with customers
  • Completing service reports and documentation accurately and on time
  • Supporting other engineers and assisting the wider team when required

Skills & Experience Required

  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Previous experience as a Fire & Security Service Engineer or Security Engineer
  • Ideally 3+ years’ experience within the fire and/or security industry (desirable, not essential)
  • Experience in one or more of the following: CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms
  • Familiarity with a variety of manufacturers’ systems
  • Willingness to undertake additional training and upskilling
  • IPAF, CSCS/ECS, FIA, City & Guilds (desirable)
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and self-motivation
