About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of a major EHV underground cabling project in Teesside. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing site operations, subcontractors, and direct labour to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day site operations for EHV cable installation works
- Manage cable pulling subcontractors and jointing teams
- Supervise site teams and direct labour, ensuring productivity and compliance
- Report progress, issues, and performance to senior project leadership
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with programme, safety, and quality standards
- Produce and manage essential project documentation, including: Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), Construction plans and related documentation
- Maintain strict adherence to HSE regulations and best practices
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager within high-voltage infrastructure projects
- Strong background in EHV underground cabling (400kV and 275kV)
- Demonstrated experience managing cable pulling subcontractors and cable jointing teams
- Solid understanding of construction documentation and processes (ITPs, RAMS, etc.)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage site teams effectively and drive performance
Working Arrangements
- Pre-mobilisation: Remote working available
- From June/July 2026: Full-time site-based role in Teesside
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday
