The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Roaming Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to cover the South West region. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading national bodyshop organisation in a highly varied and mobile role, supporting multiple sites across the region. This position has become available due to internal promotion and offers excellent long-term stability, variety, and career progression.
The Role
As a Roaming VDA, you will:
- Work across multiple sites within the South West region
- Support workshops during peak periods, holidays, training, and operational cover
- Produce accurate vehicle damage assessments and repair estimates
- Identify correct repair methods in line with manufacturer and Thatcham standards
- Liaise with insurance companies to obtain repair authorisation
- Communicate effectively with engineers, technicians, and customers
- Maintain accurate electronic and manual records of estimates
- Ensure compliance with BSI safety standards and insurer requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be a proven Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA / Estimator
- Have experience using Audatex
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Hold ATA or IMI accreditation (essential)
- Have a strong background within a bodyshop environment
- Hold a full UK Manual Driving Licence
- Be confident working independently across multiple sites
