We are recruiting for an experienced Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join an established security systems company working across commercial and enterprise sites throughout the UK and Europe. This is a field-based installation and commissioning role, involving regular travel to different commercial sites across Europe. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, testing and commissioning of high-end security systems.
The role will focus heavily on installing and commissioning IP CCTV, Access Control and enterprise security systems, so a strong understanding of IP networking is essential. Experience with Lenel OnGuard, C&CURE 9000, Genetec, Gallagher or similar enterprise systems would be highly desirable. Engineers with strong IP and networking skills and experience working on complex commercial security installations will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of IP CCTV systems
- Commissioning and configuration of IP CCTV systems
- Installation and commissioning of Access Control systems
- Installation of Intruder Alarm systems
- Configuration and testing of IP-based security systems
- Working with TCP/IP, IP addressing, switches and network infrastructure
- Installing and commissioning commercial and enterprise security systems
- Travelling to customer sites across Europe
- Configuring enterprise platforms including Lenel OnGuard, C&CURE 9000 and Genetec
- Testing systems and completing final commissioning
- Completing commissioning documentation and handover information
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as an Installation Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, Security Engineer, CCTV Engineer, Access Control Engineer, Fire & Security Engineer or Security Systems Engineer
- Strong experience installing and commissioning commercial security systems
- Good knowledge of IP CCTV and networking
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP and network infrastructure
- Experience installing, configuring and commissioning IP-based security systems
- Enterprise security systems experience desirable
- Lenel OnGuard, C&CURE 9000, Genetec or Gallagher experience advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable travelling throughout Europe and staying away when required
- Able to work independently and deal directly with customers
Salary & Benefits
- Up to £45,000 basic salary
- OTE up to £70,000 per year
