MOT Tester Mechanic

Are you a qualified MOT Tester who also enjoys hands-on mechanical work? Were recruiting for a dual-role opportunity offering a 50/50 split between MOT testing and general vehicle maintenance.

Our client is a well-established and reputable garage in Cannock, known for delivering top-quality service and building lasting customer relationships. Theyre now looking for a skilled and reliable MOT Tester/Mechanic to join their team.

Role Overview:

• 50% of your time will be dedicated to carrying out MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations

• The remaining 50% will involve mechanical work including servicing, diagnostics, brake and suspension repairs, and general maintenance

• Completing accurate records of inspections, repairs, and test results

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment

• Supporting team members to deliver excellent customer service

Requirements:

• MOT Tester licence (VTS number) is essential

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

• Confident diagnosing and repairing a range of mechanical faults

• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work

• Full UK driving licence

• Team player with a positive and dependable work ethic

Salary: £35,000 per annum (full-time, permanent)
