An excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Programmer / Wood Machinist to join a well-established company based in Bletchley. The company uses 3 Axis Homag machines with WoodWop and SmartWop programs.

The company, established in 1987, is a family-run business that designs, builds, and installs high-end fitted furniture for customers across Herts, Beds & Bucks and London. They are now looking to recruit an experienced CNC programmer who can take plans from the design team and create them using the machines available.

About the Role:

  • Able to write and add programs
  • Experience in CAM systems
  • Knowledge of product design
  • Experience on 3-5 axis machines
  • Stock control of the wood and consumables
  • Maintain machines
  • Cleaning down machines after use and clean work area
  • Procurement of tooling and consumables

Candidate Requirements:

  • Programming and CAD experience
  • Should be numerate, able to read engineering drawings and apply relevant inspection techniques to ensure that only quality products are produced
  • Work under low supervision with a good awareness of the health and safety requirements in a woodworking environment and able to keep up with all the current legal requirements for a working shop
  • Stock control of the wood and consumables and booking finished stock on a computer system
