My client is a well-established M&E engineering company based in Central London, seeking an experienced MEP Design Manager to support them on a long-term project. The role will involve hybrid working and the project is expected to span several years.

Role Responsibilities
The client is working on a large scale project which is scheduled to run for a number of years, and they need a good design manager to support the Design Engineering Manager throughout the entire project lifecycle, from pre-construction phases through to practical completion.
The roles duties include:
- Forming and maintaining a standards and regulations tracker based on the works information and for ongoing baseline monitoring to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Strong knowledge of MEPH systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, communications, and fire safety design
- The role will contribute to the setup and maintenance of design assurance processes, including development of V&V (Verification and Validation) matrices and Design Management/Technical Assurance Plans.
- Lead and document regular design reviews in line with the Design Management Plan and Technical Assurance Plan.
- Monitor compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices
- Input into/utilise the pre-construction Technical Risk Review (TRR) to identify, assess, and manage design risks. Escalate critical risks and mitigation measures to the project team as needed.
- Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards, including BREEAM.
