An established and rapidly growing building compliance contractor is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Project Manager to support the delivery of active fire safety projects across healthcare, social housing, education and public sector environments. This is a sub contract role overseeing fire alarm installations, upgrades and compliance works on live sites, working closely with engineers, clients and senior management to ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and on programme. The business delivers both active and passive fire protection solutions nationwide and is heavily involved within NHS, local authority and housing association frameworks. The ideal candidate will come from a strong fire alarm background and be confident managing multiple projects simultaneously within occupied buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing fire alarm projects from pre-start through to completion
- Overseeing subcontract engineers and specialist installers
- Managing RAMS, programme delivery and project documentation
- Coordinating materials, labour and site access requirements
- Attending client meetings and progress reviews
- Ensuring works are completed in line with BS5839 and current fire safety regulations
- Managing quality control, commissioning and handover processes
- Working closely with commercial and operational teams to keep projects on track
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing fire alarm installation projects
- Strong understanding of BS5839
- Previous experience within NHS, healthcare, social housing or public sector projects is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple live projects
- SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
- FIA qualifications beneficial
- Full UK Driving Licence
