Are you an experienced Fire & Security Installation Engineer ready to take the lead? We're working with an established and growing business looking for an experienced Lead Installation Engineer to join their team, covering London and the South East. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer with proven experience installing and commissioning enterprise-level fire and security systems, who is looking to take responsibility for leading installations and delivering high-quality projects for commercial customers.

The Role

  • Take ownership of installation activities on a range of commercial and enterprise projects, working closely with Project Managers, customers and engineering teams.
  • Leading installation activities across commercial fire and security projects.
  • Installation, configuration and commissioning of enterprise-level security systems.
  • Working on access control, intruder, CCTV and associated security technologies.
  • Taking technical ownership of installations from start through to completion.
  • Leading and supporting other engineers and subcontractors on site.
  • Reading and working from technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
  • Fault finding, testing and commissioning systems to a high standard.
  • Liaising professionally with customers, project teams and other contractors.

About You

  • We're looking for a technically capable and experienced Fire & Security Installation Engineer who is comfortable taking the lead on larger and more complex projects.
  • Strong experience within the fire and security industry.
  • Proven installation and commissioning experience.
  • Experience working on enterprise-level security systems.
  • Strong knowledge of access control, CCTV and intruder systems.
  • Gallagher experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with other enterprise platforms such as Lenel, C-CURE, Genetec or similar would be advantageous.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and project specifications.
  • Experience leading engineers or installation teams.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
  • A professional approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence.

This role would suit an experienced engineer who is ready to step into a genuine lead position and become a key technical point of contact on major commercial and enterprise projects.
