The Role
As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems across a variety of premises. You will play a vital role in ensuring systems are fully operational and compliant with current safety regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems
- Conducting inspections, testing, and fault finding
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently
- Responding to emergency call-outs, including out-of-hours support
- Managing daily schedules and planning service routes
- Maintaining accurate documentation and service records
- Managing stock, tools, and company vehicle
- Delivering high levels of customer service and maintaining client relationships
- Ensuring all work complies with industry standards and company procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience working with fire alarm systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of fire safety standards and regulations (e.g. BS5839)
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full UK driving licence
