You'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our customers, carrying out installations, planned preventative maintenance, fault finding, and reactive service calls across a varied portfolio of commercial and residential sites.

The Role

As a Junior Fire & Security Engineer, you will act as a primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a first-class service experience from start to finish. You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, installing, and troubleshooting a range of fire and security systems while ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and repair Fire Alarm, Intruder Alarm, CCTV and Access Control systems
  • Attend planned maintenance visits and reactive breakdown calls
  • Assist with and undertake new system installations
  • Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with customer SLAs and KPIs
  • Complete accurate service reports and documentation using the company operating platform
  • Upload all required documentation promptly and accurately
  • Manage vehicle stock and equipment effectively
  • Build strong relationships with customers and deliver exceptional service
  • Identify and report deficiencies or recommended improvements to existing systems
  • Produce quotations for small remedial works where required
  • Support trainee engineers and contribute to team development
  • Participate in the 24-hour on-call rota
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company standards

About You

We are looking for a proactive engineer with a positive attitude and a strong customer focus.

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Basic electrical knowledge and understanding
  • Previous experience within Fire & Security, Electrical, or Building Services environments

Desirable Experience

  • Fire Alarm Systems – essential

  • CCTV Systems - optional
  • Access Control Systems – optional
