About the Role

Our client is a well-established automotive business with a busy bodyshop in Gloucester, and they are currently looking for an experienced IMI-qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join their growing team. This role will involve assessing accident-damaged vehicles, identifying the repairs required and producing accurate estimates to ensure vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and to the correct industry standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect accident-damaged vehicles and assess the extent of damage
  • Produce accurate repair estimates and identify all required parts and labour
  • Determine the most appropriate repair methods in line with manufacturer guidelines
  • Liaise with customers, insurers and workshop teams throughout the repair process
  • Monitor repairs and update estimates where additional damage is identified
  • Ensure estimates and repair plans are completed accurately and efficiently
  • Work closely with Panel, MET and Paint Technicians
  • Ensure repairs comply with manufacturer and industry standards
  • Maintain accurate records and repair documentation
  • Support the smooth and efficient running of the bodyshop

Requirements

  • IMI qualification in Vehicle Damage Assessment / Estimating
  • Proven experience as a VDA / Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair processes
  • Experience assessing accident-damaged vehicles
  • Excellent understanding of repair methods, parts and labour requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK Driving Licence
