Our client, a busy and well-established automotive accident repair bodyshop, is currently seeking an experienced Strip Fitter / Vehicle Strip & Fit Technician to join their team in Coalville. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled bodyshop technician / MET strip fitter / vehicle dismantler and reassembler who is confident working on a wide range of accident repair and insurance-repair vehicles.
You will be responsible for the strip down, refit, and rebuild of vehicles to support the full repair process, working closely with panel beaters, MET technicians, and paint technicians to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality repairs.
- Strip down vehicles involved in accident repair work
- Remove and refit mechanical and trim components to support panel and body repairs
- Assist with vehicle dismantling and reassembly (strip & fit work)
- Work closely with panel technicians, MET technicians, and paint teams
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the bodyshop
Requirements:
- Experienced Strip Fitter, Vehicle Strip & Fit Technician, or Bodyshop Technician
- Strong background in automotive accident repair or bodyshop environments
- Confident with vehicle dismantling, stripping, and reassembly
- Good understanding of mechanical and trim components (MET awareness desirable)
