In this key role, you will split your time between hands-on technical work and the day-to-day supervision of a skilled team. You will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of electrical, fire, and security services across a large portfolio of social housing properties. This is not just a management role; it's a leadership position where your expertise will ensure that critical life safety and security systems—including fire alarms, door entry, warden call, and access control—remain fully operational and compliant, protecting some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

  • Hands-On Delivery: Actively participate in the installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair of electrical systems, fire alarms, door entry, access control, and telecare systems across occupied and void properties.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all works are carried out in full compliance with BS 7671 (18th Edition), the Electricity at Work Regulations, the Building Safety Act 2022, and all relevant fire safety legislation. Review and verify all electrical certification, including EICRs.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and quality checks. Ensure first-time fix rates are high and remedial works are prioritized and completed on time.
  • Customer Service: Liaise with residents, housing officers, and clients to coordinate works, minimize disruption, and deliver a professional, customer-focused service.
