Job Title: MET / Paint Technician

Salary: £22 - £24 per hour

About the Role
Our client is a well-established automotive business with a busy bodyshop in Gloucester, and they are currently looking for an experienced MET / Paint Technician to join their growing team.
This role will involve a combination of mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) work alongside vehicle preparation and paint-related duties , helping to return accident-damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MET work, including removal and refitting of mechanical, electrical and trim components
- Prepare vehicles and panels for painting
- Carry out paint preparation, including sanding, masking and priming
- Assist with paint and refinishing work where required
- Assess vehicle damage and identify the work required
- Work closely with Panel Technicians and other bodyshop staff
- Ensure all repairs and preparation work are completed to a high standard
- Follow manufacturer and industry repair standards
- Accurately complete job cards and repair documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience as an MET Technician, Paint Technician, Vehicle Technician or Bodyshop Technician
- Experience across MET and vehicle paint/preparation work
- Strong understanding of vehicle repair processes
- Experience within a busy bodyshop or accident repair environment
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant automotive or bodyshop qualifications are preferred
- Full UK Driving Licence
