Installation Project Engineer – Fire & Security Systems
Location: London | £45,000 + Company Car + OT + Extras | Full-Time, Permanent
Due to continued growth within our Integrated Security Systems business, we are looking to recruit an experienced Installation Project Engineer to join our expanding Fire & Security Systems division.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to work on the installation of high-end integrated security systems, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest technical standards while maintaining strong cost control and compliance.
The Role
As an Installation Project Engineer, you will take responsibility for managing and delivering electronic security installations across your area of operations. You will ensure systems are installed, tested, and commissioned correctly, supporting the business in meeting technical, safety, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver electronic security systems installations from start to completion
- Undertake commissioning of systems where required
- Verify the accuracy of equipment specifications at the pre-installation stage
- Develop and manage site-specific method statements and risk assessments
- Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are upheld at all times
- Maintain compliance with technical auditing, quality standards, and regulations
- Ensure systems are fully tested and commissioned and support production of O&M documentation
- Work independently with a high level of attention to detail and professionalism
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have a strong background in the installation and commissioning of fire and security systems, alongside solid technical and organisational skills.
You will ideally have:
- Qualification as an Electrical / Electronics Engineer or Electrician
- Proven experience installing and commissioning Fire & Security systems
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of IP CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm Systems
- Intermediate IT skills including MS Office and relevant system software
- Experience managing electrical contractors and approved subcontractors
- Strong attention to detail with a self-motivated and professional approach
