Site-Based Fire Alarm Service Engineer – Corsham – £40,000–£42,000 + Overtime Site-Based Fire Alarm Service Engineer | Corsham | Permanent We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join a well-established and growing fire and life safety company for a site-based role in Corsham.
Due to continued expansion and increased customer demand, our client is looking to add a skilled fire alarm engineer to their permanent engineering team.
This is a full-time, permanent, site-based role offering a competitive basic salary, overtime opportunities, and the chance to work on critical fire alarm systems within a secure commercial environment.
The successful candidate must have strong experience working with Kentec fire alarm systems and VESDA aspirating smoke detection systems, with a proven background in servicing, maintaining and fault finding complex fire detection systems.

- Servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of fire alarm systems
- Working on Kentec fire alarm systems and VESDA aspirating smoke detection systems
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance within a commercial site environment
- Diagnosing faults and completing effective remedial works
- Testing and maintaining addressable and conventional fire alarm systems
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with BS 5839 and current fire safety regulations
- Completing service reports, documentation and maintenance records accurately
- Maintaining excellent communication with customers and internal teams
- Supporting the wider engineering team when required Fire Alarm Service Engineer – Skills & Experience Required
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer or Fire Alarm Engineer
- Strong experience working with Kentec fire alarm panels (essential)
- Experience with VESDA aspirating smoke detection systems (essential)
- Strong fault-finding and servicing knowledge of fire alarm systems
- Experience working with addressable and conventional fire alarm systems
- Ideally 3+ years’ experience within the fire alarm industry
- Good understanding of BS 5839 regulations
- Relevant certifications such as FIA, CSCS/ECS, IPAF or City & Guilds (desirable)
