My client, a leader in Building and Energy Management Systems (BEMS), is looking to bring on board a CAD Engineer to join their team. This person will be joining their panel design team with the responsibility of ensuring ensure production of accurate panel wiring diagrams and topologies based on information supplied by design managers, design engineers, engineering manager or technical director. The role available is a flexible one which will include some office and site based work. Benefits * Salary up to £40,000 * 26 Days Holiday * Pension * Private Medical and Private Health * Life Assurance (4x salary) * Progression and Training Responsibilities * Ensures quality control of design activities on projects and ensures the company quality standards are upheld (ISO 9001 Quality Control System). * Works with other engineers to identify and develop solutions for new projects. * Liaises with the project design engineer or design manager to ensure drawings comply with the contract documentation, specifications and drawings. * Attends design meetings on and off site as and when required. * Creates accurate wiring diagrams suitable for panel workshop construction information. * Ensures drawings are completed in time to meet deadlines for client approval and panel manufacture. * Ensures that all drawings created are checked by either a design manager, engineering manager or technical director prior to client issue or manufacture. * Creates Bills of Materials for the procurement manager as and when required. * Ensures AutoCAD database is maintained and updated as necessary * Understands the project hours budgeted for panel design and CAD.
