About the Role
Our client, a leading organisation within the automotive accident repair sector, is looking for an experienced Panel / MET Technician to join their busy and fast-paced bodyshop. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled bodyshop technician who is confident working across both mechanical and structural repair disciplines. You will be responsible for a mix of mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) work alongside panel repair and replacement, ensuring vehicles are fully restored to their pre-accident condition. With a strong and consistent workload and an uncapped bonus scheme, this role offers excellent earning potential for an experienced automotive repair technician.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MET (mechanical, electrical and trim) stripping and fitting work
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical components affected by accident damage
- Remove and refit vehicle components for panel repairs and bodywork restoration
- Carry out panel repairs and replacements, including full and quarter panels
- Undertake welding, jig work, and structural repairs where required
- Support full repair cycle from strip down to rebuild and final fit
- Ensure all bodyshop repairs and mechanical work meet manufacturer standards
- Maintain accurate job records and support workshop efficiency
About You
- Experienced Panel Technician, MET Technician, or Bodyshop Technician
- Strong background in accident repair, crash repair, and vehicle restoration
- Confident in both mechanical (MET) and panel repair disciplines
- Skilled in stripping, fitting, diagnostics, and vehicle rebuilds
- Experience working in a fast-paced automotive bodyshop environment
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- ATA / NVQ qualifications in Vehicle Body Repair or MET (desirable but not essential)
