HP is looking for a true technical and strategic leader to join our team as a Principal PreâSales Technologist and be the lead technical champion for the HP Workforce Experience Platform (WXP) and its corresponding solutions. WXP is our cloudâbased enterprise solution that helps organizations move from reactive IT to a proactive, userâcentric approach.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Strategic & Technical Evangelism
- Articulate the "Why": Masterfully position the WXP value proposition, demonstrating how its AIâpowered predictive analytics and actionable insights drive down costs, strengthen security, and improve employee productivity.
- Command the Room: Develop and deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and ProofâofâValue (POV) sessions to executive and technical audiences.
- Own the Technical Proposal: Prepare and lead the technical responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring the proposed solution perfectly aligns with the client's business and technical needs.
- Showcase the Platform: Be the definitive expert in core WXP features, including:
- DEX Scoring: Explaining how the Experience Score (0â100) is derived from user sentiment and deep device telemetry (System Health, OS, Security, Network, Apps).
- Deep Diagnostics: Illustrating how to find the "needle in the haystack" for issues like Blue Screen errors, battery health, and application performance.
- Automation & Remediation: Demonstrating the power of the Script Gallery and custom automation to resolve issues at scale.
- Act as a Trusted CâLevel Advisor: Forge deep, strategic relationships with executives and senior stakeholders, becoming the indispensable partner they turn to for advice on AIâdriven decisionâmaking and modern workforce strategy.
- Partner with Sales: Work closely with the sales team, providing them with critical technical insights and guidance required to effectively position our solutions and win deals.
- Engage All Key Buyers: Build trust and tailor your message to the specific needs of diverse stakeholders:
- Infrastructure Managers: Focus on automation, cost reduction, and efficiency.
- DEX Leads: Focus on sentiment tracking, "silent suffering," and Smart Refresh insights.
- Security Architects: Focus on BIOS security, compliance, and firmware automation.
- ESG Program Managers: Focus on power usage metrics and sustainability dashboards.
- Lead Complex Solution Design: Handle unique and complex customer challenges with creative problemâsolving, architecting innovative solutions that integrate WXP into their existing ecosystem.
- Plan for Growth: Identify the longâterm growth path and scalability options for every solution, generating a comprehensive implementation plan and mitigating risks.
- Manage the Handoff: Oversee the implementation of the proposed solution, ensuring a smooth and successful transition from the sales cycle to the deployment and operations teams.
- Assure Security & Compliance: Clearly articulate WXP's adherence to global standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 2) and address complex data privacy and residency requirements (e.g., EU, Switzerland).
- Drive Thought Leadership: Contribute to highâimpact initiatives by writing technical whitepapers, creating articles, or speaking at industry conferences.
- Be the "Voice of the Customer": Conduct market research to identify new trends and customer pain points, communicating this feedback to Product Management and Engineering.
- Mentor the Team: Provide active guidance and mentorship to junior team members, helping them develop both their technical acumen and consultative selling skills.
What You'll Bring (Qualifications)
- Experience: 10+ years in technical preâsales, consultative selling, or solutions architecture for cloudâbased IT management, Endpoint Management, or Digital Employee Experience platforms.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration degrees also valued.
- Product & Platform Expertise: Strong understanding of DEX platforms (WXP, 1E, NextThink, etc.).
- Microsoft Ecosystem Mastery: Expertise in Microsoft endpoint management (Intune, Entra ID).
- Business & Data Acumen: Grasp of the full SaaS sales lifecycle and core business platforms.
- Salesforce: Familiarity for sales process support.
- Analytics Tools: PowerBI, Tableau, Splunk, ServiceNow for data visualization and API integration.
- ITSM & DEX Frameworks: Understanding of IT Service Management principles and Digital Employee Experience as a business strategy.
- Cloud Architecture: Handsâon mastery of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- AI/ML Concepts: Familiarity with AI capabilities within WXP (sentiment analysis, topic modeling).
- Core Technologies: Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), APIs, and virtualization (NVIDIA vGPU).
- Deployment Readiness: Ability to advise customers on environment readiness (whitelisting, proxy configs).
- Executive Presence: Exceptional communication skills, ability to simplify complex topics and present technical concepts to nonâtechnical executives.
