At a Glance:
The Instrument Technician is responsible to the Maintenance Supervisor for the maintenance of all instrument/electrical equipment within H&P scope/area of responsibility.

Location: UKNS Scott Platform
Type: 3*3 rotation
What you will do:
- Maintain and repair as necessary all instrument/electrical equipment, investigating defects and submitting reports as required.
- Maintain a preventative maintenance programme in accordance with Group repair and preventative maintenance procedures as directed by immediate supervisor.
- Ensure that all equipment under their control complies with statutory requirements and is always maintained in a safe condition or is otherwise completely withdrawn from service.
- Monitor any instrument/electrical equipment supplied by other contractors or sub-contractors to ensure that it is suitable for use within the areas desired.
- Plan maintenance and repairs to minimise the effect on the drilling operation and to carry out the maintenance tasks specified by the computerised maintenance system.
- Recommend and when required embody modifications to equipment or systems to enhance safety, improve rig performance or comply with statutory notices.
- Carry out tasks as part of a multi-discipline maintenance team as operational requirements dictate.
What you need:
- Recognised Engineering qualification / Trade qualification papers.
- Offshore Survival certificate.
- OGUK Medical.
- Significant experience working in the drilling industry or with drilling equipment related to maintenance environment.
- Experienced within e-CoW permit to work system.
- Microsoft Office literate.
- Be able to work in an integrated maintenance team.
- Experience of CMMS, i.e. SAP, Maximo.
- Exposure to offshore working environment with some knowledge of Permit systems.
