The Director, Global Product Management leads the development and execution of a unified product strategy across Global Drilling Solutions (GDS), operating as an independent pillar that supports and integrates FlexRig Engineering, Digital Drilling Solutions, and BENTEC. This role defines what we build, why we build it, and where we prioritise investment across the full GDS capability set.
This role translates customer needs, regional market insights, and enterprise priorities into a cohesive, scalable product vision and roadmap that spans multiple geographies, business units, and technology domains. The Director ensures that GDS operates as an integrated system—aligning engineering, digital, and equipment capabilities—while driving disciplined portfolio management, global alignment, and world‑class product execution to support H&P’s long‑term strategic growth and enterprise value creation.
Global Product Strategy & Vision- Define and communicate a unified global product vision and long‑term strategy across GDS, ensuring alignment with H&P’s enterprise objectives and BENTEC’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
- Translate customer needs, regional market dynamics, and competitive intelligence into differentiated, scalable product strategies.
- Ensure product direction supports enterprise‑level priorities across FlexRig Engineering, Digital Drilling Solutions, and BENTEC’s equipment and technology offerings.
- Drive alignment of product strategy across mechanical, electrical, controls, and digital domains to enable integrated system‑level solutions.
- Lead the development, prioritisation, and governance of global product and portfolio roadmaps across GDS.
- Guide investment decisions to maximise customer value, enterprise value, operational efficiency, and commercial impact across diverse global markets.
- Collaborate with commercial leadership to align product strategy, pricing and packaging, and go‑to‑market execution with revenue growth and customer outcomes.
- Establish and enforce product management processes, stage‑gate governance, and decision frameworks to drive disciplined execution, transparency, and alignment across regions and functions.
- Ensure global product launches meet readiness standards and are delivered on schedule through strong cross‑functional and cross‑regional coordination.
- Operate as the central integration point across FlexRig Engineering, Digital Drilling Solutions, and BENTEC to ensure alignment of development priorities and delivery.
- Partner closely with engineering, operations, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and customer success teams globally to deliver high‑impact, integrated solutions.
- Build alignment across complex stakeholder groups, including international teams, to enable clear decision‑making and successful product adoption.
- Communicate product vision, strategy, and priorities effectively to technical and non‑technical audiences across multiple geographies.
- Define global product performance metrics and use data‑driven insights to evaluate success, inform decisions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Apply strong judgement and global drilling insights to determine when to scale, pivot, or sunset products based on performance, customer value, and global market conditions.
- Promote a culture of innovation, operational excellence, and customer focus across the global product organization.
- Establish Product Management as a core pillar within GDS, driving enterprise‑level alignment and governance across H&P and BENTEC.

- 15+ years of progressive product management experience, with significant knowledge of drilling industry advancements, engineering systems, and digital technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline preferred.
- Experience operating within global organisations and working across multiple regions and business units.
- Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry, drilling technology, industrial equipment manufacturing, or adjacent sectors preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in Product Management, Product Strategy, or Portfolio Leadership within complex, cross‑functional environments.
