ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Analyzes electro/mechanical problems of dairy processing and packaging equipment, and auxiliary equipment.
- Works with current ET’s in monitoring and communicating with various PLC’s learning proper procedure.
- Troubleshoots plant and utility equipment making all necessary repairs.
- Assist machine operators in determining when the machine should be shut down due to mechanical or electrical problems.
- Trains with plant personnel on the electrical aspects of this position, working towards promotion.
- Perform established preventative maintenance procedures on plant equipment and completes appropriate paperwork.
- Processes requisitions to replace parts used.
- Executes assigned projects under the direction of the Maintenance Coordinator/Maintenance Manager.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of basic industrial 3-phase power, including AC and DC motors, relay logic and programmable control logic.
- Must possess a basic working knowledge of power transmission equipment, mechanical drawings, scales, and symbols.
- Prior experience in basic industrial electricity or equivalent.
- Prior experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent.
- Ability to work well with people. Communication skills are a must.
- Multi-tasked Individual. Ability to work independently.
- Standing: Long periods (a minimum of 8+ hours).
- Sitting: Occasionally for short periods.
- Walking: Long periods.
- Bending: Frequently.
- Lifting: Heavy (50+ lbs) frequently.
- Carrying: Heavy (40-60 lbs) frequently distance.
- Pushing/Pulling: under 75 lbs without assistance frequently.
- Frequent Overtime.
- Must have industrial maintenance experience.
Starting $35.57 + 7% Night Shift Differential - Increases at 6 & 12 months! Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. The pay range for this position is $35.57 - $37.88 USD.
