The Group is building a best-in-class FP&A function to support a complex, acquisitive, and rapidly scaling organisation. Following a period of heavy interim support, the business is now investing in permanent senior capability. The Senior FP&A Manager will play a critical role in professionalising forecasting, reporting, and business partnering across the Group. This is a hands-on, high-impact role suited to someone who enjoys fixing broken processes, raising standards, and acting as a true finance partner to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and overhaul Group budgeting and forecasting processes, including annual budgets and regular reforecasts.
- Produce high-quality monthly management reporting for a complex, multi-entity group structure.
- Deliver clear, decision-focused outputs, including:
- Robust performance bridges
- Insightful, concise commentary (no “white noise”)
- Act as a senior finance partner to multiple business leaders (Managing Directors and functional heads across Operations, IT, HR, Legal and Finance).
- Support stakeholders with:
- Cost control and financial transparency
- AR/AP reporting and working capital insight
- Business cases and investment decisions
- Contribute to building a best-in-class FP&A function by:
- Raising technical and behavioural standards
- Educating non-finance stakeholders on financial ownership
- Mentoring and developing junior team members
- Multiple ERP platforms
- A developing data warehouse
- Support M&A activity, including financial modelling, integration planning, and post-deal performance tracking.
- Contribute to Board and senior leadership presentations.
- Partner closely with the CFO and FP&A leadership on finance transformation initiatives.
What You Need
- Solid FP&A experience in a medium-to-large, operationally complex business.
- Strong business partnering capability and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working with imperfect data and systems.
- Experience in services, engineering, construction, energy services, facilities management or similar sectors preferred.
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and commercially minded.
