Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Trade / Customs Legal Counsel to join their dynamic legal team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a global leader in e-commerce and technology, helping shape our international trade strategy and ensure compliance with complex customs and trade regulations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice on customs, trade, and import/export compliance matters affecting global operations.
- Support the development and implementation of global trade and customs compliance programs and policies.
- Monitor and analyze legal and regulatory developments in the UK, EU, and other key jurisdictions that impact Amazon’s supply chain and trade operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (logistics, procurement, tax, finance, public policy, etc.) to ensure compliance and drive efficiencies.
Basic Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor or barrister (UK or equivalent jurisdiction).
- 3+ years of legal experience with a focus on international trade and customs law.
- In-depth knowledge of UK and EU customs regulations, WTO rules, and trade agreement mechanisms.
