Job Title: Aircraft Engine Technician – Aviation Services

Are you an experienced aircraft engine specialist with hands-on expertise across major engine types such as CFM56, LEAP, V2500, RB211, or Trent700?

Our client, a well-established aircraft engine maintenance and repair organisation experiencing strong growth, is seeking an Aircraft Engine Technician to join its Stansted-based team. The business supports airlines and lessors worldwide, combining deep technical skill with a commitment to quality and performance.

About the Role

You’ll play a key role in engine maintenance and repair within a fast-paced workshop, working closely with team leaders and management to meet daily operational goals. The position involves both base and occasional field work, supporting engines on-wing and near-wing as required.

This is an opportunity to join a highly skilled group of technicians supporting a diverse engine portfolio, contributing to the ongoing success and reputation of a leading maintenance provider.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance and repair work scopes in line with approved data and manuals
  • Support engine shop turnaround targets and ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain regulatory and quality standards in accordance with CAA, EASA, and FAA approvals
  • Promote safe working practices and maintain compliance with Health and Safety policies
  • Collaborate across teams to improve processes, solve problems, and deliver consistent results
  • Adhere to Human Factors principles and company procedures at all times

Experience & Qualifications

  • Time-served aerospace industry apprentice with at least 3 years’ post-apprenticeship experience
  • Previous experience working in a busy engine shop
  • Proven approval or hands-on experience on one or more of the following: CFM56, LEAP, V2500, RB211, CF6, CF34, PW4000, PW1000G, or Trent700
  • Strong understanding of engine shop manuals, ATA chapters, and Part 145 / FAA regulations
  • Borescope experience advantageous
  • Current Human Factors, EWIS, and Fuel Tank Safety training preferred (training can be provided)
  • Forklift licence desirable
