We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities within the warehouse, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to company policies and budget. This role requires strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
Duties:
- Ensuring a safer working environment, adhering to health and safety policies and regulations, and maintaining compliance with warehousing, handling and shipping legislation.
- Manage and supervise all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, dispatching of goods and budgets.
- Develop and maintain efficient processes to optimise workflow and productivity within the warehouse.
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance targets and maintain high standards of quality.
- Maintaining accurate stock levels, optimising storage space, and coordinating the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely fulfilment of orders and resolve any logistical issues.
- Producing regular reports and statistics on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and operational metrics.
- Managing warehouse budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing resource allocation.
- Monitor transport and loading requirements in conjunction with the Transport Senior Team Leader.
- Coordinating the use of automated and computerized systems to optimize efficiency and track inventory.
- Ensure supply of resources such as pallets, packaging etc.
- Follow up customer queries on delivery non-conformance.
- Support Business Continuity projects.
- Annually assess and refine FLT requirements with Head of Operations.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment for all employees.
Experience:
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role is essential.
- Experience of working within a FMCG environment.
- Leadership and Management: Ability to lead and motivate a team of warehouse employees.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Organisation and Planning: Ability to plan and organise warehouse operations, manage inventory, and optimise space utilisation.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to warehouse operations, safety, and logistics.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and develop solutions for process improvement.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems: Familiarity with SAP & PowerBi software and their functions.
- Knowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain Management: Understanding of the principles of supply chain management and logistics.
- Change Management.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations is highly desirable.
