We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Production Planner to join our planning team on a full time, permanent basis.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and maintain stocks for all assigned areas.
- Achieve all customer requirements.
- Achieve stock targets.
- Generate capacity plans for specific bottleneck assembly operations to identify potential problem areas to obtain resolution with manufacturing managers.
- Run and satisfy daily arrears.
- Each morning ensures the overdue commitment plan is run and the actions/dates of agreed build are provided to the Planning Manager and Sales Administration Manager.
- Attend meetings with customers as required to better understand their needs to ensure all targets are met.
- Attend weekly Plan Conformance Review Meeting with the Planning Team to confirm whether all targets have been met and/or identify any issues if the target were not reached.
- Attend daily Planning meeting alongside the Production Managers, Senior Team Co-ordinators to confirm production plans for the day have been met and/or if not, how the issues can be resolved.
- Run weekly action message reports for the following week, identify and agree suitable plans for that week with the Planning Manager.
- Attend weekly Sign Off meetings with the Productions Managers and Senior Team Co-ordinators to confirm factory manning for the following week.
- Comply with Health and Safety responsibilities as defined in the Company Health and Safety policy, and ensure these are adequately delegated in the absence of the job holder.
What are we looking for?
- Highly Experienced in SAP within production planning, creating production orders, production line planning using customer orders and forecast information.
- Numerate and excellent analytical skills.
- IT literate with ability to learn new software packages.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Ability to learn and interpret large quantities of numerical information.
- Ability to work within a team and autonomously without short interval supervision.
- Ability to make fact-based decisions.
- Ability to build and manage cross functional relationships with all departments in the business to ensure excellent internal communications.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to use PowerPoint would be advantageous.
- Ability to proactively identify and implement improvements to any business process through change management.
- Tenacity in response to conflicting prioritisation requests from different departments.
Experience criteria
- Experience of working with SAP.
- Working in a FMCG environment.
- 5 years’ experience in an operational environment.
- 5 years’ experience in production Planning/supplier scheduling.
- Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain/Manufacturing.
