Target start

ASAP

Hozah is rapidly scaling and we're looking for a commercial, hands-on CFO to be the right hand to the CEO and partner to the wider leadership team.

This is not a back-office, keep-the-books role; it's a seat at the top table.

We want someone who changes how the business thinks about its numbers, its unit economics, and where growth is coming from.

You'll utilise your knowledge of financial and data technology (e. g.

Snowflake, BQ, Omni, Looker, Metabase etc) to build the FP&A and forecasting capability the business needs to scale with confidence, and give the CEO, the board, and our investors a clear, forward-looking view of the business.

We want someone pragmatic and front-footed; comfortable rolling up the sleeves, capable of explaining the big picture and the details at the same time, opinionated about where value is created, and excited and capable of using AI to make the finance function faster, sharper, and more strategic.

This role extends beyond reporting and analysis.

You'll be directly involved in the company's most important commercial decisions, partnering with the CEO and commercial team on negotiations, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives.

You'll help win deals, not just measure them, using your commercial judgement and financial expertise to maximise long-term value for the business.

Hozah is a tech-led, award-winning company driving change in the parking industry and reimagining urban mobility.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to transform parking into a seamless, automated experience, paving the way for smarter, more sustainable cities.

With recent recognition as Pay Tech Company of the Year, a place among Deloitte's Top 50 Fastest Growing Tech Companies in the UK, and significant VC/PE investment, we're one of the fastest scaling companies in the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the right hand to the CEO on all things financial, commercial, and strategic.
  • Bring rigour and a fresh lens to growth decisions.
  • Support commercial deal‑making: pricing, contract economics, and the numbers behind new site and client decisions.
  • Build and own the budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A function.
  • Iterate on the forward‑looking board pack and investor reporting that leadership and shareholders use to make decisions.
  • Establish the KPIs and financial dashboards that connect day‑to‑day operations to financial outcomes.
  • Own cash flow, capex, working capital, and scenario planning as the business scales.
  • Build, lead, and develop the finance team - including mentoring and growing existing talent toward more senior roles.
  • Put in place the processes, controls, and systems a scaling business needs, without adding bureaucracy that slows it down.

Partner with the CEO and investors on fundraising, refinancing, and M&A / corporate development as the business grows.

  • Manage banking, treasury, and key financial partner relationships.
  • Take a front‑footed approach to AI and automation in finance - reporting, forecasting, reconciliation, and analysis.
  • Continuously raise the bar on how much a lean finance function can deliver.

Skills and Qualifications

  • You've led finance before - or you're ready for your first shot and can prove it.

A strong FD/Head of Finance ready to step up, or an early-second-time CFO who wants to build rather than inherit.

Either way, you can walk us through a function you built, not just one you worked inside.

  • You're commercial, not just technical. You read the business, not just the ledger, and you have a view on where value is created and where it leaks.
  • You can build FP&A from scratch. Modelling, forecasting, scenario planning - the forward view is your craft, not something you outsource.
  • You're hands‑on. You'll build it yourself before you delegate it, and you're not above the detail.
  • You're front‑footed on tech and AI in finance. You're already using modern tooling (e. g. Snowflake, BQ, Omni, Looker, Metabase) to make a lean function punch above its weight.
  • You can make numbers land with people who don't live in them. A founder, an ops lead, and an investor in the same room, each hearing what the numbers mean for them.
  • You're comfortable stepping outside the 'Finance Lane' and getting involved directly with clients and suppliers.
  • Preferred
  • Prior CFO, FD, or Head of Finance experience in a VC/PE-backed scale-up, ideally through a fundraise or refinancing.
  • Experience in a marketplace, proptech, paytech, or subscription/usage‑based B2B business.
  • Direct experience leading or closely supporting a fundraise, refinancing, or M&A process.
  • Experience presenting to a board and/or an investor syndicate, not just to internal stakeholders.
  • Experience building or scaling a finance team from a small base.

What We Offer

  • Real canvas. A proven, cash‑generative business with the finance function still in early innings. You won't find this combination often: de‑risked model, blank page.
  • Real ownership. You own the function, the plan, and the numbers, and you're in the room for every growth decision.
  • Real mission. Our tech is quietly reshaping how the physical world of parking and mobility works.
  • Generous remuneration: meaningful bonus and equity tied to what you build, not a slot in a fifty‑person finance org.

At Hozah, you'll play a pivotal role in a purpose‑driven company at the forefront of urban mobility innovation.

We foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and positive impact, where your contributions help shape the future of smarter cities.
