We are looking for an experienced and ambitious
Management Accountant to join our Finance team in Wrexham.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with commercial insight to influence business performance and support strategic decision-making.
The role includes responsibility for monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, business partnering and driving continuous improvement across the business.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting reports.
- Providing detailed financial analysis and commentary on business performance.
- Producing variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year.
- Supporting annual budget and rolling forecast processes.
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journals.
- Assisting with statutory reporting and audit requirements.
- Partnering with operational and commercial teams to improve financial performance.
- Supporting cost control, inventory analysis and working capital management.
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial reporting, controls and processes.
- Supporting finance transformation and system improvement projects.
- Coaching and supporting junior members of the Finance team where required.
About You
We are looking for someone who can bring both technical expertise and strong business partnering skills.
Essential
- Part-qualified or fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent.
- Previous experience within a Management Accountant role.
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- SAP or ERP system experience.
- Experience of budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
- Knowledge of stock accounting and cost analysis.
