We are seeking a strategic and analytical leader to take ownership of performance management across our New Business function. In this pivotal role, you will shape the future of our firm by ensuring our New Business team progresses effectively through our Trainee Pathway Programme. This programme transforms aspiring professionals into well-rounded Financial Planners by combining technical training, client development, and business growth fundamentals. You will oversee KPI tracking, data integrity, and performance analytics to ensure individuals and teams are equipped, supported, and accountable for measurable success.
About the role
As the Head of New Business, you will be responsible for supporting, managing, and holding the New Business team accountable to their daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets. Your role will be essential in maintaining strategic alignment, consistency, and effectiveness across the New Business function, ensuring each New Business Manager is set up to succeed in client acquisition and professional development. This is a global role, focusing on our key hubs in Dubai, the UK, Asia, and Mexico. It will involve travel throughout the year to spend time in each office, fostering strong working relationships and building dynamic, motivated teams. In addition to people management, a key focus for the Head of New Business is data management—ensuring our lead database is actively being worked, while introducing innovative ideas for improving our lead generation. (This role will be based in our Dubai headquarters and will require relocation.)
Weekly Objectives
- Conduct daily reviews of performance data across all New Business Managers, ensuring consistent focus on core KPIs such as outreach, lead generation, meeting booking, and CRM activity.
- Provide structured, actionable feedback to drive improvements in prospecting effectiveness and team morale.
- Prepare and deliver a weekly performance report to Global Managers, detailing individual progress, broader team trends, underperformance flags, and potential structural challenges.
- Produce data analytics reports reviewing lead campaign performance for submission to Global Sales Managers.
Monthly Objectives
- Lead and ensure completion of all monthly one-to-one performance reviews, creating a coaching-led environment for each New Business Manager.
- Validate and enforce escalation processes for consistent underperformance while supporting positive developmental interventions.
- Oversee the design and implementation of a rolling four-week training schedule, collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure relevant and impactful delivery focused on business development excellence.
- Carry out monthly data reviews summarising successful lead generation sources, presenting recommendations for improvement back to Global Sales Managers.
- Develop corporate partnerships with key stakeholders in the jurisdictions in which we operate.
Strategic Collaboration
- Partner with global stakeholders to align leadership approaches, redefine performance benchmarks, and continuously improve business development frameworks.
- Contribute to weekly marketing strategy meetings, working alongside the Head of Marketing to assess lead quality, campaign ROI, and conversion potential.
- Ensure strategic initiatives are communicated, executed, and reinforced effectively across the team.
- Continually seek improvements in how we generate new business across the group.
