Company Description

We are looking for an Floor Manager to be part of our team for The Hoxton, Holborn.

Open from breakfast through to dinner, Rondo is a relaxed neighbourhood restaurant offering seasonal modern bistro dishes and great wines for all. Rondo is the kind of restaurant you want at the end of your street; serious about food and drink but with a fun, welcoming vibe.

Holborn was the second Hox to join the family, taking over a Grade II-listed building that was once the factory of George Kent, a famed maker of gadgets and instruments. After Kent, BT moved in, and now this former telephone exchange is home to 230 bedrooms, the Apartment, plus our foodie hotspot Rondo and wine bar La Cave, all close to the city’s main attractions. Rondo focuses on seasonal local British dishes, unsung ingredients, and great wine, led by chef Tristan Downes. La Cave offers natural wines and quality snacks.

Job Description

What you\’ll do:

1. Ensure the restaurant/bar area complies with H&S standards for each shift.
2. Lead the daily briefing for the restaurant/bar team.
3. Coordinate and manage reservations system.
4. Draft floor plans based on expected covers.
5. Support the Restaurant AGM and GM with stock management, ordering, and stock counts.
6. Assist in training on wine, food, and beverage menus.
7. Handle cash and report revenues daily following SOPs.
8. Manage labour scheduling.
9. Oversee service on the floor and bar.
10. Ensure safe opening and closing procedures.
11. Collaborate with culinary team on menus, service, and product availability.
