You’ll work closely with our VP of Operations to dive into the nuts and bolts of Hoxton Farms, helping to build and scale our finance, compliance, legal and business development operations. You’ll join a world class startup backed by top investors, working at the intersection of biotech, food, and sustainability.
As we take our deliciously fatty ingredient to market, you’ll help lay the operational foundations that make rapid growth possible, especially in areas where precision, trust and accuracy matter most.
What you’ll do:
- Support day to day business operations across finance, legal / IP, commercial and compliance.
- Own and maintain key operational documents, including company contracts, NDAs, supplier agreements and insurance policies.
- Support preparation and maintenance of financial models, forecasts and scenario analyses.
- Assist with investor updates, financial and KPI reporting.
- Manage cap table updates, option grants and equity workflows (e.g., via Carta).
- Coordinate with external partners including accountants, lawyers, insurers and IP specialists.
- Support business development operations, including CRM updates, pipeline tracking and preparation of commercial materials.
- Assist with intellectual property documentation and ongoing portfolio management.
- Help our accounting team ensure the company meets HMRC, Companies House and other regulatory requirements.
What we’re looking for:
- Highly organised, a strong communicator, and comfortable working with numbers, documents and cross functional stakeholders.
- Significant responsibility from day one, balancing precision and process with flexibility and drive.
- Sound judgment, discretion and emotional maturity are essential.
- Ideally 2-4 years of work experience, with at least 2 years of experience in an operations, finance, legal, consulting or analytical role at a fast paced company or startup.
- Strong comfort with numbers, spreadsheets and financial/operational modelling.

- Clear and confident written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
- A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership.
- Curiosity, enthusiasm and drive.
- Creativity and readiness to support company events and external facing activities.
- A talent for collaboration and teamwork.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Familiarity with startup tooling like Notion, Slack, Google Workspace, and ChatGPT.
- Experience preparing materials for business development, commercial outreach or fundraising.
Why join us?
You’ll take on a high impact role at the centre of a fast growing deeptech company. As our Operations Associate, you’ll build and manage the systems that underpin our finance, legal, IP and commercial functions, working closely with our VP of Operations and collaborating across the entire company. You’ll gain hands on experience across disciplines that are usually siloed, from financial modelling to IP management and business development ops. The systems you build will directly enable our next stage of growth, from fundraising to customer onboarding to regulatory progress. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to learn fast, take ownership early and develop into a senior operator in a high growth environment.
Benefits:
- £40,000-£50,000+ salary, higher amounts dependent on experience.
- Stock option plan.
- Beautiful lab and office near Old Street.
- Weekly socials and events.
