Our client, an ambitious and rapidly growing health tech company, is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to join its team in London. You’ll be building high-quality, intuitive mobile applications that support the health and wellbeing of 100ks of users.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Mobile Engineer looking to work cross-platform, in a fast-paced environment where your work has genuine real-world impact. They use React Native but they can hire someone who has been focused on Kotlin or Swift with no problem if they are keen to learn.
Key Responsibilities- Mobile Development
- Develop secure, scalable, high-performance mobile applications
- Collaborate with Design and Product teams to enhance UX and UI
- Build modular, reusable platforms and architecture
- Contribute to a shared Design System across multiple product teams
- Continuously improve engineering practices, tools, and code quality
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with engineers, QAs, designers, product managers, and stakeholders
- Own the full delivery lifecycle: planning, implementation, testing, and deployment
- Make pragmatic technical decisions that deliver business value
- 5+ years’ commercial experience as a Mobile Engineer
- Experience working in a startup, scaleup or a product focused tech company that has gone through a stage of growth
- Strong skills in either React Native, iOS (Swift), or Android (Kotlin)
- Passionate about elegant, testable, maintainable code
- Comfortable working end-to-end across the delivery lifecycle
- Able to zoom into detail and back out to the big picture
- Excellent communication skills
- Excited by the pace and mission of a high-growth startup
- Able to work from the London HQ (3 days per week)
- Computer Science degree or equivalent
- Experience with A/B testing and progressive rollout
- Performance-focused app development
- Experience working with Design Systems
- Familiarity with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code
