# Pharma Commissioning EngineerDepartment: OperationsEmployment type: PermanentWorkplace: On siteTo independently undertake and support the coordination and completion of commissioning and validation activities for Howorth Pharma equipment, both at Howorth headquarters and on customer sites. The role is responsible for testing, commissioning, fault-finding, and rectification of equipment to ensure that systems meet project, customer, GMP and quality requirements. The Engineer will complete commissioning documentation accurately and within agreed timescales and provide professional technical support to customers throughout the commissioning process. The role will also contribute to continuous improvement within the commissioning function and support less experienced engineers through the sharing of technical knowledge and experience.### Job requirements* Relevant technical or engineering qualification and/or demonstrable experience in commissioning.* Experience of commissioning and validating mechanical, electrical and/or control systems.* Working knowledge of relevant commissioning and test equipment.* Working knowledge of control systems.* Practical experience of DOP testing.* Practical experience of particle counting.* Working knowledge of filtration and filter systems.* Developing knowledge and experience of the Howorth Pharma product range.* Ability to interpret technical documentation, drawings, specifications and commissioning requirements.* Understanding of GMP principles and the importance of accurate commissioning and validation documentation.* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability.* Ability to work independently and manage own workload while knowing when to seek support or escalate issues.* Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites as required.* Previous experience in commissioning, ideally within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, cleanroom or other regulated environment.* Experience of working directly with customers and other project stakeholders.### Job responsibilities* Carry out commissioning and validation of Pharma equipment in the field and at Howorth headquarters, including Factory Acceptance Testing (F.A.T).* Independently undertake commissioning activities in accordance with project requirements, customer specifications, GMP standards and Howorth procedures.* Complete commissioning, validation and associated documentation accurately, professionally and within agreed timescales.* Carry out testing, fault finding and rectification of equipment and components, escalating complex technical issues where appropriate.* Demonstrate the operation and functionality of equipment to customers with a confident and professional attitude.* Ensure all relevant test equipment is calibrated and certified and suitable for use in accordance with applicable legislation and company procedures.* Undertake DOP testing and particle counting as required.* Support the successful completion of commissioning and validation activities against project programmes and customer expectations.* Communicate effectively with customers throughout commissioning activities, identifying issues and ensuring that concerns are appropriately addressed.* Identify potential opportunities for post-commissioning services and communicate these through the appropriate sales channels.* Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the Howorth Pharma product range and associated commissioning requirements.* Provide technical support to customers and colleagues relating to commissioning activities and Pharma equipment.* Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Production, Design, Quality and other relevant departments to achieve successful project delivery.* Contribute to the development and improvement of commissioning procedures, processes and working practices.* Support the creation of a culture of continuous improvement and consistent high performance within the department.* Share knowledge and experience with Trainee Commissioning Engineers and other colleagues where appropriate.* Ensure all commissioning activities are undertaken in accordance with relevant Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.### BenefitsFree parking – Enhanced Maternity & Paternity Pay – Flexible / Hybrid Working – Wellbeing Allowance – Medicash Healthcare Plan**Additional Benefits:** Critical illness scheme – Death in service cover – Electric Car Salary Sacrifice – Cycle to work scheme – Employee assistance scheme – Pension scheme after 3 months employment – Company sick pay #J-18808-Ljbffr
