Responsibilities:
- To develop and implement a robust root cause and corrective action culture within the organisation.
- The Quality Engineering function is key to coordinating and leading 8D activities with a cross functional team to deliver and sustain improvements to both direct and indirect processes within the organisation.
- The typical throughput of the company is 220 β 300 batches per month.
- Define key improvement activities to improve the company's quality performance.
- Lead 8D improvement activities with cross functional teams.
- Develop inspection means and perform gauge MSA studies to identify best practice for self inspection.
- Liaise with customers to resolve any identified issues.
- Perform internal/external audits.
- Work with process owners to develop internal processes/procedures.
This role will be based at our site in Redditch, UK.
Working Hours for this role will be 37 hours per week, on a weekly rotating shift of 6am-2pm and 2-10pm. A shift premium of 20% will be applied to the basic salary for this role.
Qualifications:
- The candidate shall have demonstrated experience of managing 8D projects.
- Green belt training would be beneficial.
- Gauge MSA through the use of minitab tools.
- Experience of auditing to ISO9001 / AS EN9100.
