Responsibilities:
- To manually insert and fit parts to produce fasteners to strict tolerances.
- To operate various machines in the Production department as required.
- In process fitting of inserts and collars, test and carry out Self Inspection of parts.
- To use gauges and measuring equipment to ensure product meets required specifications.
- Self-certification of personal work.
- Keep all computer files and manual paperwork accurate and up to date at all times.
- Ensure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standards.
- Ensure all quality procedures are adhered to, taking an active part in root cause analysis.
- Undertake training on various machines required to ensure 100% flexibility in the workplace, with the goal of once fully trained being prepared to train others.
- To actively take part in locally focused, or multi-functional continuous improvement teams.
- Work as a fully flexible team member within the Company to maximize levels of production and quality.
Company Responsibilities:
- Maintain full compliance with Howmet policies and procedures and conduct all activities in accordance with the Howmet Guide to Business Conduct.
- To adhere to all company EHS requirements and actively participate in the identification and elimination of hazards.
- To undertake and promote their own self-development, in line with Company and personal aims.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have experience in the above skill.
- Experience of working within a busy Manufacturing environment.
- Experience of Assembly process previously.
- Aerospace experience would be advantageous.
