- Improve and promote safety across the site.
- Develop detailed blueprints, structural models, and systems designs using CAD and 3D modelling tools on own and with external engineers.
- With the help of contract designers, analyse, calculate, and evaluate structural integrity, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.
- Ensure all designs and construction meet legal, environmental, and safety regulations (e.g., building codes).
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to manage the project lifecycle, from proposal to final inspection.
- Inspect building areas to verify compliance with plans, troubleshoot issues, and recommend repairs for structural or system failures.
- Manage external contractors.
- Support other engineering personnel to achieve departmental goals.
- Responsible for helping to identify own personal training and development needs.
- Such other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require.
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
- At least 5 years working in a similar role.
- Proficient with CAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Aware of Health & Safety.
- Strong knowledge of engineering science, mathematics, structural mechanics, and building systems.
- Ability to analyse complex data for structural, mechanical, or electrical performance.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and capable of making decisions and working in a self-directed capacity.
- Flexible and open attitude to change.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
